I knit for this charity. I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, so this outreach means a lot to me. I remember the poverty when I was a kid, and it struck me then. It is even worse now. Government doesn’t even acknowledge that a problem exists. The people in West Virginia that are in the depths of poverty are relying on charity almost exclusively. The problems of poverty will no go away unless we all do something about it.
