Tumblr, did I tell you my parents are visiting?
My parents are visiting.
They flew in Saturday evening. Sunday was kind of lazy. The husband unit and my dad made plans for a pergola and did their first Home Depot run, but otherwise we watched the Olympics, the hall of fame game, and relaxed. My mother did keep asking if there were any projects she could do.
Yesterday Hubby and Dad got the pergola 2/3 finished (I’ll post pictures later) and my mom and I completely re-arranged, cleaned, scrubbed, swept, and dusted the living room. Seriously, my mom dusted every DVD and every book she could get her hands on. There are six bookshelves and hundreds of DVDs. We also took down all of the blue painters tape from when Hubby and I moved in (almost five years ago).
Today, the boys will finish the pergola and I will have my mom help me get picture frames for our wedding pictures and frame them. Then we are out of projects. They are here until Saturday…
The husband unit has suggested that we hand them a dictionary open to the V section, for vacation. ;-)
Tomorrow, at least, I’m taking my mom to the spa for her first massage and facial ever. I’m getting a pedicure. :-) I have no idea what the guys are going to do.
