I started a to-do list over at my craft blog. It started as a short list of things that I wanted to remember to focus on after holiday knitting is over. I figured I’ve have a few things and that would be that. However, I keep thinking of things. Some of them big, some of them small, but all of them things that are important to me that I want to remember to prioritize.
After the first...

Alie arrived at our 1st-grade classroom wearing a sweatshirt with a hood. I asked her to take off her hood, and she refused. I thought she was just being difficult and ignored it. After breakfast we got…

Rant
When I gave the final assignment over two weeks ago, I discussed in detail what you needed to do and how it was supposed to be put together. Not only did we project it on the board and go over it, I asked you first if you had questions and then asked you to repeat the info back to me. I also posted the directions on the webpage and made you all print out a copy.
Every class since then...

This is such good news:

Unfortunately, Mondays are my prep day and I telecommute, so no snow day for me. All day I was thinking: I hope school is on tomorrow, the students really need the study day before finals next week.
This morning, as I’m lying in my warm bed, all I...

The two pit mixes we’ve had are/were the most loyal dogs I’ve every owned. I signed the petition and I believe if we are going to legislate death by breed, then we should also be legislating some sort of severe punishment to the people who train and breed dogs to be overly aggressive (preferably something involving hot pokers and places where the sun doesn’t shine). Dangerous...

In New Mexico!
I’ve been giddy.
I also have the urge to knit a sweater.

How Republicans are being taught to talk about... →
wilwheaton:
The Republican Governors Association met this week in Florida to give GOP state executives a chance to rejuvenate, strategize and team-build. But during a plenary session on Wednesday, one question kept coming up: How can Republicans do a better job of talking about Occupy Wall Street?
“I’m so scared of this anti-Wall Street effort. I’m frightened to death,” said Frank Luntz, a...
