Week one of hiking
So, last week was my first full week back at hiking. It went well. On Friday I also was walking around during the day and ended up walking over eight miles during the day.

Were you to walk by my office door right now
you would see me jammin’ out in my Hines Ward jersey, working on a clickers quiz. Since I’m listening to my headphones, I imagine I look a good bit crazy. I’m in a dancing mood today, what can I say?
Also, I would be stoked if MyMathLab weren't a...
Seriously, it is supposed to make my job easier, not harder.
*If you are a newer follower, “whore” is a general derogatory term in my house. If you stub your toe on the couch, it is a whore, etc.
Seriously, I need more time
There are too many things to do and not enough time. Can we move to a 36 hour day without increasing the amount of stuff I have to do? That would be awesome.

This is something that I’ve been following for a while. It gets me really pissed off. When their commercials come on TV, I want to throw things.

It can happen at the most inopportune moment: in the middle of a delightful conversation at a party, at a restaurant with new friends, while you’re lunching with co-workers, during a family meal. Someone makes a wild generalization about women who get abortions, and you’re shocked. You try to…
These are always important to remember.

Knitting update:
Noro Scarf: Finished (okay, I still have to weave in the ends and block it, but the knitting is finished).
Basked of Baby Goodies: On hold during the latest allergy attack, the stuff I have left to finish requires too much concentration. I’m thinking football this weekend will be an excellent time to finish it up though.
Danish Tie Shawl: Started. I needed something simple and...

Oh, Soccer and Baseball People:
Remember all of the world cup posts? How about all of the baseball posts all summer? Yeah, now it is my turn. ;-)
If you are really good, I might even do some hockey posts. I’ve become so used to the people around me not acknowledging hockey, that I forget there are fans out there. Perhaps I can find them on the great interwebs.

Dilemmas, dilemmas...
This is my first season trying fantasy football. I’m in a really small league, so I have some kick-ass players. For instance, my two quarterbacks are Jay Cutler and Philip Rivers. Mr. Cutler will be battling the Lions (horrible) and Mr. Rivers will be going up against the Chiefs (not much better). How the hell do I pick between them?
My wide receiver pool: DeSean Jackson, Johnny Knox,...
I love knitting in front of football almost as much as napping in front of football. ;-)
Hey Kids in America!
I am still here. I still live. I am very tired. But it seems that my allergies are slowly getting better and my work load is lifting.
Today is going to suck.
My allergies have been off the charts for weeks, but finally broke Friday or Saturday. That means my sinuses drain. Yippie, but usually no big deal unless I’m flying or something triggers the allergies again. Yesterday, something started burning. I don’t know if it was all of the barbecues or a bosque fire, or what, but my allergies went all crazy again. My head is now a solid. ...

Pictures of that and hopefully some baby stuff for a brand new third (?) cousin this weekend.
Yes, I just made up the term wiki-wankers. Yes,...
Also, I wish I used Wikipedia enough to know which edit to undo to get it back. Sometimes, I am impressed by the holes in my internet knowledge.
Here is the Synopsis. Stupid Wiki-wankers.
Synopsis
On a cool, clear night (typical to Southern California) Warren G travels through his neighborhood, searching for women with whom he might initiate sexual intercourse. He has chosen to engage in this pursuit alone.[6]
Nate Dogg, having just arrived in the east side of Long Beach, seeks Warren. On his way to find Warren, Nate passes a car full of women who are excited to see him....
While I’m completely exhausted right now, I have been taking me time: Workouts in the mornings and killing trolls and ogres at night.
It also helps that at week 1.5 my students are still all awesome. I can see a group in my mostly 18 year-olds class will be rowdy, but I’m okay with rowdy. Otherwise, I think they will all be fantastic. I am so pumped about the semester. Which is...
Oh, and THREE DAY WEEKEND!
Mother bitches! I am excited beyond belief about the tree day weekend.
There is light at the end of the tunnel!
I think, I might have enough done to be able to relax a little soon. Maybe. Hopefully. I miss tumblr. All of my tumblr time right now is spent on my work tumblr reading student posts, and responding, and putting in cool math stuff.
